The doors to Rising Star were open to over 295 students in February 2012 and has continued to expand its reach into educating and enriching the lives of many more students and their families. Children continue to be on a waiting list to be able to attend the school. Please consider a monthly partnership with the school. Stefani & Joel find True Purpose in giving back In 2009, longtime entrepreneurs Stefani and Joel Dunn were dealing with the stress of bankruptcy and the fear of what was next. They lost their businesses due to the economic slowdown and were relying on charity food lines just to survive. After hearing about It Works, they began to realize the potential for an extremely profitable and exciting venture. They actually had to bounce a check to start their business and were about to lose their house, but they caught the vision!

Joel saw it really quickly, Stefani says.

​They went ALL in right from the start and dedicated themselves to showing others how to build a successful at-home business and sharing the products with everyone they encounter. Today, they have reached the rank of Black Diamond - which means they earned over $100K in six consecutive months. They enjoy a lifestyle of personal and financial freedom that allows them to give back and make a difference in ways they never thought possible. The Dunns love having the time and resources to improve other people’s lives. Joel says “We went from being on the receiving end of charity to having the ability to give back.” One of their primary passions is Rising Star School in Uganda, which serves about 400 students, including 150 who are orphans who live at the facility full time and wouldn’t have the chance for an education any other way. “We got to go there and see the school,” Stefani says. “That was an incredible feeling.” This ability to serve and really make a difference is what motivates them to continue sharing the It Works! Opportunity and helping others build sustainable businesses.
